Aglio e Olio Pasta Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti or your preferred pasta
- 1/2 cup Sunmare Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 6-8 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional), for serving
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve about 1 cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
- Sauté Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes:
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the Sunmare olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the thinly sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until the garlic becomes golden but not browned. Adjust the heat to prevent burning.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce:
- Once the pasta is cooked, add it directly to the pan with the garlic and oil. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
- Adjust Seasoning:
- Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. If the pasta seems dry, add some of the reserved pasta cooking water gradually until you achieve the desired consistency.
- Finish and Serve:
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley.
- Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
- Serve Warm:
- Plate the Aglio e Olio pasta, garnish with additional parsley or Parmesan if desired, and serve immediately.
