Aglio e Olio Pasta

Aglio e Olio Pasta Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 400g spaghetti or your preferred pasta
  • 1/2 cup Sunmare Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 6-8 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional), for serving

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
    • Reserve about 1 cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
  2. Sauté Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes:
    • While the pasta is cooking, heat the Sunmare olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
    • Add the thinly sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until the garlic becomes golden but not browned. Adjust the heat to prevent burning.
  3. Combine Pasta and Sauce:
    • Once the pasta is cooked, add it directly to the pan with the garlic and oil. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
  4. Adjust Seasoning:
    • Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. If the pasta seems dry, add some of the reserved pasta cooking water gradually until you achieve the desired consistency.
  5. Finish and Serve:
    • Remove the pan from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley.
    • Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
  6. Serve Warm:
    • Plate the Aglio e Olio pasta, garnish with additional parsley or Parmesan if desired, and serve immediately.
